I have been working on the Wilson family tree on ancestry.com for about a year. I am retired and have been spending lots of time, learning about a family I really never knew. I will send you a link to my tree that is private on ancestry.com. I made it private because someone who works for the geneology website for AR took some of my suppositions and posted them on rootsweb. I am trying to determine who John Charles Wilson was.... and have gathered bits and pieces of information that may or may not pertain to him. He was born in Maryland in 1821 and that's about as far back as I can get. So, if you know anything from your grandmother, please let me know. Or, if you have heard any family stories or rumors I would appreciate your sharing those also. If you have a picture of your grandmother, would you do me the favor of sending me a file via email? I have a picture on her profile page that I think was made of her and the five children she had.... probably just after her husband died.... I could be wrong though. It was in the collection of pictures that my uncle had --- John Charles Wilson, b.1925 and d.2006. All of our family is buried at Dickinson Cemetery. Look at that picture and see if you think it resembles any of your family. Any picture that you have of her or of any of the children would be much appreciated. My email address is catherinebenson@bellsouth.net or kathrynmbenson@hotmail.com. Either address will work. Okay, I am going to my tree to send you an invitation to view the tree. Please let me know what you think. If you see errors, I would appreciate your letting me know. Regards, Kathryn Benson granddaughter of William Franklin and Virginia Sindle Wilson great granddaughter of William Alexander and Missouri B. James h. Gresham and Martha were my great grandparents. What was MArtha's maiden name? I have not seen it. On your narrative of the 3 sons of Wm.,b.1795, the 3rd.o ne ,James, shows him b. 1832. In listing the 3 sons and their children, youwrote that James H. Gresham was born in 1851, married to Martha. Is he the son or the grandson of William, as there is a 20 yr. gap between Son#3 James, and James H. Also, in the list of children of JAmes H. ,there is MAlvern, actually Williford Malvern, who was my grandfather. He married 3 times, and my Mom was his daughter from his 2nd. marriage.
