William P. Parker in Calhoun County Generation No. 1 1. WILLIAM P.1 PARKER was born Abt. 1860 (Source: Calhoun CO Marriage Certificate.), and died Unknown. He married ALICE J. HAYNES 03 Aug 1899 in Calhoun County, AR, daughter of WHITLEY HAYNES and FRANCES WITHERINGTON. She was born Abt. 1875 (Source: Calhoun CO Marriage Certificate.), and died Unknown. Notes for WILLIAM P. PARKER: Located at the Calhoun Courthouse was the marriage licence of W.P. Parker (39) and Miss Alice Haynes (25), dated 3 Aug 1899, marriage conducted by T. F. Wisinger, JP. Lonnie Parker signed as security on the Marriage Bond. W. P. Parker and wife Alice, are thought to be the William Parker family that Arthur Edward King and son, William R. King (age 2) were living with on the 1900 Calhoun/Fayette census, near the Kate King farm located below Artesian. I have only done a little research on the Roarks. I got confused and didn't get too far. However I was briefly in touch with Ralph Hare and he shared what he knew with me. But still, the 1860 Census of Calhoun Co. AR listing G. T. Roark doesn't match up to any of the information shared with me. Ralph shared this with me. Gideon was born 1817 and died 1872. He is buried at Roark's Landing, AR in a n unmarked grave. He married... 1st Caroline "Callie" Wilson on June 1st, 1840. They had 3 children; Jesse - died young Elija - died young Sarah - 10-14-1844 (married Joseph Lockett (Joe Luck/Lock)Sarah is buried at Pickett, Jose at Morre's Chapel. 2nd Emily Manor (spelling is always a mystery). She was first married to John B. Dunn who died 1851 in Hampton, Calhoun Co. AR. They had 2 children; John Brisco Dunn b. 1844. He became a Doctor Rhoda A. b. 1843. Gideon and Emily had 3 children; Crocket - who married ALice Dunn 8-20-1874 (cousin to Dr. John) Tobe - never married Gideon T. b. 1859 married Nancy Haynes - both buried at Pickett. I was told by a cousin that Emily was Alexander's daughter but Alexander was born in 1825 so it is mosre likely that Alexander and Emily are siblings. And this cousin also told me that her parents visited Sallie Howard and Linnie Turner in 1972. She said that they were daughters of Emily. That doesn't seem possible either. Anyway, maybe we can get some of this figured out. I would really like to try. How about you?
