Ozment and Mary Ann Loveless Ozment? Their second daughter was born September 1882."--Melissa -------------------------------------- Second daughter: Mollie (Ozment) McGough (1882-1980) A.: I haven't found such a divorce record yet (1880-84). Maybe I should look in varied counties, apart from Drew Co. In which counties have you looked so far? Similarly, I haven't found one for Louiza's first marriage. She wed in 1877, but had a "D" in the 1880 census. In Alabama, I found a book of divorce records for early Montgomery Co., but my Sarah/Sally was not in it, either, circa 1830. Maybe it's a problem with that time period. I did find a divorce record from the 1930s in Bradley Co. Similarly, I found a mother's permission for her daughter to marry in 1909. The 20th Century brought more complete records, it seems. ------------------------------ Message: 6 Date: Wed, 13 Dec 2006 22:49:19 -0500 (EST) From: MFWilson <mfwilson@peoplepc.com> Subject: [ARBRADLE] Roll Call / Wilson, Savage, Wolf, Lague To: "ARBRADLE@rootsweb.com" <ARBRADLE@rootsweb.com> Message-ID: <14505770.1166068159272.JavaMail.root@mswamui-chipeau.atl.sa.earthlink.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Information on A. I work full time and can only research evenings and weekends, and only then, if my daughter does not visit and take over my computer. Started researching again when my oldest daughter gave me computer. Started with Texas maternal side of family. Now working on paternal side, which led to Arkansas. Your 26 messages were a treat. On the LDS site, I can only find divorce records for Bradley County. They are within the Chancery Court from 1893 onward. Drew, Ashley, Cleveland, Grant, and Calhoun cos. all have generic court information on microfilm. I wonder how I would proceed to find that divorce document you queried me about.
