My grandfather was John Wesley Smith and he had a brother William that was married to Mellie Rotton (must be a middle name?), I think (at least that is what is on the stone). I remember Daddy talking about his uncle Will. Their father was Benjamin Franklin Smith and his father was Cephus. B.F. Smith was born in Carroll parish Louisiana and Cephus was born in Mississippi - maybe Adams county - still working on that one. This Will is probably your Will, but there were a lot of Smiths in Bradley and not all were kin according to my father. Do you have any dates for William or Sherman or siblings of Sherman? Would he have had a brother named Preston or John Preston?
