In previous geneological research I had one line that married into a HUETT line. Though the spelling is different from Hewitt, people sometimes took liberties in spelling, so I'll some of the info here. SALLIE ELENA FRANCIS WIGGINS (born 1891 Ellisnore, Mo.), orphaned by 9 years old, was raised by relatives (LAWSON) for a while, and worked at a boarding house(prob still in Mo.) making 50 cents/week. Around 1910, SALLIE went to visit her brother HARRY WIGGINS, and sister JENNIE WIGGINS ROSS at the Crossett Lumber Camp, and met a young train engineer and blacksmith, DEE HUETT... 3 week courtship, then in Hamburg (also Ark), they married secretly. (my grandmother GRACIE McENTIRE WIGGINS), SALLIE'S sister-in-law sewed the wedding gown for her)...there's a charming story about their ride on a flat car of a log train to get to the wedding. SALLIE and DEE HUETT had 13 children between 1911 and 1936: ARTIE, ARTHUR, NETTIE, MARY, ORIE, OPLE, LOLA, FRANCIS "RUTH", JAMES, GLENNA, DENVER, FINIACE, and MYRTLE. If anyone needs further info on this line, let me know. Linda
Thanks Linda for the note on the Hewitt line. I don't know about that particular line. The names don't look familiar.
