This is the marriage record that I think matches William and Caroline Hewitt: Book D, p. 317 Hewitt, Will, 21 Gonff (?), Lissie, 17 Jan. 12, 1899 I found the couple in the 1900 census. Lissie has given birth to a child but it is no longer living. (In the 1910 census, Caroline E. Hewitt has given birth to 5 children but only 4 are still living). I don't know what her maiden name actually is. I am just guessing that her given name was Caroline Elizabeth and she went by Lizzie or Lissie. The family does not seem to know much about their family. The "Lizzie" name is important. I will definitely get a copy of the obit. That will help me a lot.
