Hello, Listers: I am researching the surname HEWITT in Bradley County. There is a James Allen Hewitt (about 60 years) living in Drew County; his wife's name is Judy. I am looking for his father, Vester, and mother, Lelia Clyde. She was married first to Hewitt, then to Slaughter, and last to Steel(e). She should be buried with Vester Hewitt. They are buried in Oakland Cemetery, Warren, AR or so I am told. Vester's parents are buried out of town in Bradley County, but I have not obtained the name of the cemetery just yet. Lelia Clyde died within the last 10 years, but Vester has been gone a long time. Can anyone help me find them. I appreciate anyone of you can give. Kate, I don't know if you received help on this or not and I am not able to tell you a lot, but in Vester's service registration he lists "Mrs. Ed Cooke" as the person who could always get in touch with him. I found him with his mother and siblings in 1920 and in 1930 he was boarding with the Luther Seymore family west of Warren. bjw: Thanks for the help; you are the only one so far. Can you send me copies of the service registration as well as the info found in the 1920 and 1930 censuses? If not, that is okay. Thanks again.
