In doing some research in the 1910 census the other day I found the following. Calumbus (Columbus) Sharp Farmer Lou Sharp housewife Wylie Hampton age 12 servent black My Dad, the only living child of the above, said he knew some Hamptons around the Vick, Ingalls area but never heard his folks talk about having a "servent" when they first married. They married in 1909. I would like to know who Wylie was, does he have and living relatives, just a little about him. I am sure he just happened to be there the day the census was taken. Daddy did say that from time to time he would go to where the Hampton's lived and bring them to the farm to pick cotton or do other farm labor. Just curious about Wylie.
