Born October 5, 1914 in Johnsville, she was a daughter of the late Jess and Ada Johnson Clanton. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. She married Horace Hamilton in 1929 and he died in June of 1974. She married Johnnie Carr in November of 1981 and he died May 3,1992. Survivors are 1 son, Eugene Hamilton of Warren; 2 daughters, Betty Trussell of Warren and Virginia Temple of Hermitage. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Hamilton and a daughter, Mary Frances Sharp. Other survivors are 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday , August 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Frazer's Funeral Home with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Betty Simmons was organist and Abbie Richardson, soloist. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Mike Trussell, David Trussell, Steven Temple, Andrew Temple, John Sharp, Gary Green, Terry Donnelly and Dougan Townley. Honorary pallbearers were Harlan Hamilton, John Surratt, Sammy Standard and Dr. James W. Marsh, M.D. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
