    2. Rosco Johnson (Dude) Sharp, age 89, went Home to his Heavenly Father, Sunday, March 11 at his home in Fairhope, Al. A native of Vick, Arkansas, he made Mobile his home 1941 until moving to Fairhope in 1999. On November 5, 1942 he married Ellie Wilkerson who survives him. He worked as a meat cutter at Delchamps Food Store, Bay and Gulf Food Store, and Namans Food Store. He went to work for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad and retired in 1981 after 42 years as a locomotive engineer. He served the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers as a Legislative Representative during the 1970‘s. He was named Honorary Lt. Col. In the Alabama State Militia by Gov. George C. Wallace. He was the last of his family and is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Columbus Sharp and Lula Johnson Sharp, brothers - Corbit, Kern, Leo, Woodry, Glen, and Billy Joe; sisters, Mae Ola, Ladola and Nathalie. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ellie Wilkerson Sharp, daughter’s Linda (Stephen) Smith of Saraland, AL.; Brenda (Roger) Doggett or Fairhope, AL; a nephew whom he raised as his own, Rodney (Angela Garrison) Wilkerson of Enterprise, A L; grandchildren Chaplin (Capt.) Brian (Carissa Shope) Smith or Ft. Carson, Colorado; Kimberly (Stephen) Ridgeway of Saraland, AL; great-niece, Daphne Wilkerson o(Rusty) Locklar of Enterprise, AL; great-grandchildren, Hayley and McKenzie Plemons , and Stephen Ridgeway II of Saraland, AL, Gabriel Smith of Ft. Carson, Colorado; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
