My mother is a Childs on her father's side, but her mother Julia Ann *Bragg *Childs was related to the Tatums. In fact, the basketball player from the Harlem Globetrotters, Goose Tatum, was a cousin of hers. He was born in Eldorado, AR. My uncle, John Childs, my mother's brother, remembers him coming to their school when he was a little boy. My mother's family is from Banks, Arkansas in Bradley County. I have been reseaching too, but can't find the Tatum connection to my grandmother. Also, the same grandmother has Neal in her family line too. Her mother, Mary Francis Neal married Hannibal Bragg. Mary Neal was from Texas, but I can't find out much more about her.
