Lamar Dawkins, 63, of Cross Roads, died at his home west of Warren Thursday. Mr. Dawkins was a native of Bradley County and was a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Valma Temple Dawkins of Warren; three sons, James and Donnie Fred Dawkins of Warren and Horace Dawkins of Los Angeles, California; three daughters, Mrs. Maydean McMahon, Mrs. Shirley Williams and Linda Dawkins; two brothers, Eddie B. Dawkins and Morris Dawkins; two sisters, Mrs. Carter Phillips and Mrs. Helen Williams, all of Warren, and five grandchildren. Funeral was Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Cross Roads Baptist Church by Rev. Lee Moseley and Rev. W. O. Tomlin. Burial was in the Banks Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were O. W. Haygood, A. G. Haygood, Vernon Atkins, Herbert Simmons, Virgil Gambill, Monette Bradford, John Temple and Hurley Wallace.
