I remember that years ago Creed Hardware in Hermitage (Mr. Sel Creed, prop.) sold caskets. Various models were stored in the old warehouse out back (still there) and the door was normally unlocked and open during the daytime. It was a rite of passage for youngsters around town to show great courage, walk in and actually touch one of the scary things. I can't for the life of me remember what I had for breakfast this morning, but I do remember the day over 70 years ago that I finally found courage at Creed Hardware. Baker Peebles
