Ford Wright, 42, of Jersey died Wednesday July 29, at 9:00 a.m. as the result of a log falling on him. He was born in Bradley County on August 18, 1899. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Lola Wright, four sons, Floyd, Clyde, Ray and James; two daughters, Clydine and Jeanette, all of Jersey; his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Wright of Hermitage; two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Whittington of Warren, Mrs. Callie Riddles of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Troy of Houston, Russ of Pine Bluff and Clarence of Hermitage. Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 Thursday afternoon at Jersey by the Rev. S. H. Vaughn. Burial was at Jersey. Eagle Dem. Aug 6, 1942
