    3. Mrs. Ina Davis Scobey, a member of a pioneer Warren family, died Saturday morning in Little Rock. She was 71 and had lived in Little Rock with her daughter for the past few years. Born in Warren in 1882, she was a daughter of S. M. Davis, a native of Alabama, and Florence A. Turner Davis. She was the widow of Travis Scobey, who died several years ago. Mrs. Sscobey was a member of the Little Rock Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Woman's City Club in that city. She was a life member of the Methodist Women's Society of Christian Service and had been a member of the Methodist church here all her life before transferring her membership to the First Methodist Church in Little Rock. She is survived by her daughter, Miss Mary Florence Scobey of Little Rock; one brother, Aubert Davis of Little Rock; and one sister, Mrs. Zena Davis of Warren. Services for Mrs. Scobey were conducted at the First Methodist Church here Tuesday by Rev. Aubrey G. Walton, Rev. Edwin Kieth, both of Little Rock, and Rev. J. Ralph Clayton. Interment was in Oakland cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: John Newton Scobey, Edwin Hankins, Jr., C. E. Englehart, Jr., Charley B. Brooks, Jr., Gil C. Herring and L. Rollins Barnette. Honorary pallbearers were: Carl Hollis, Louis Ederington, J. E. Stewart, A. E. Pirtle, Allen Riley, J. E. Hurley, J. M. Thompson, O. E. Greene, Hugh Moseley, Jr., Lee Martin, G. W. Botts, Wallace Hurley, Laurence Hurley and W. A. Calhoun of Little Rock. Eagle Dem April 2, 1953 Christopher Claud Gannaway, 50, former Fire Chief for the City of Warren for many years died at his home on Saturday July 18 at 3:00 a.m. following an illness of many months. He was born December 16, 1891, and had lived here all his life. He was a member of a pioneer family of Bradley County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eva Gannaway; two sons C. E. of Warren and Ben of Mobile, Alabama; one brother, Files of Los Angeles; father, Dr. C. E. Gannaway; one granddaughter, Sue Ellen of Mobile; his stepmother, Mrs. C. E. Gannaway and one step-sister, Mrs. Jack Clower of Warren. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at Frazer's Chapel by the Rev. Raymond Earley, pastor of the Second Baptist Church. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers were J. T. Lowman, Henry Creed, B. S. Seay, C. W. Hickman, Selwyn Carmical, Roy Smith, W. P. Reynolds and M. W. Godwin. Ladies in charge of the flowers were Mrs. B. S. Seay, Mrs. Henry Creed, Mrs. Gladys Murphy, Mrs. Will Turner and Miss Kate King. Eagle Dem.
