Hi, My grandfather Calvin Renfro Davis's first wife was Susan Jane Mann daughter of David Mann and Martha Jane Ashcraft. I am interested in this line, too, as I have cousins who are descendants of this marriage and I would like to help them. Any help would be appreciated. What happened to David Mann after 1870? Hi, Dorothy, I don't suppose this will help you with this but I will try. My grandfather married first Susan Jane Mann in Lincoln County, AR, 9 Jan 1878. She was born 1858 in SC. I don't have her death date but it was before 3 Aug 1893. Susan's parents were David Mann b. 1834 or 35 in SC. Her mother's name was Martha J. b. 1837- 1840 in SC. In 1880 all the family were with Calvin and Susan Jane Mann Davis except David. I don't know what happened to him. Hope this helps some. Roddy L.
