I am researching Smith, Stuard, Braswell, Castleberry, Powell, Thompson, Spears, DuBose, Parker. Same here with the Spears. My great grandmother was Caroline Spears and I have yet to make a connection to any of the other Spears in Bradley County other that Thomas J. Spears. She appears in 1860 at the age of 9 living with the Spillers. John Thomas Spears died in 1899 around the time that his son, Luther Thomas, was born. John's wife, Annie Lanier, married Joel Castleberry, had 2 more daughters and died with their son around 1909.
