Thanks Ann for the info on Hassie Reddin. Do you know anything about a Doris Reddin? I thought perhaps she might be one of Fred and Hassie's children. If anyone knows the maiden name of Troy Reddin's wife, Clara Evelyn Johnese, I would appreciate the information. Here is a wonderful article about some of the Reddins in Bradley Co., dated Apr 30, 1942: FATHER AND SEVEN SONS REGISTER FOR SERVICE IN UNCLE SAM'S FORCES About the middle of the morning Monday, while local agencies were registering those between the ages of 45 and 65, A. D. Reddin, of Banks was among the registrants. He stated he was 57 years of age, was the father of fourteen children, 10 boys and four girls, and that he had six grandchildren, all of them living. He said he had six boys registered and that a seventh one will register this year. He would like to know if there is another father in this section or in the state who can boast of such a record. The eldest son, Merle, 33 years of age, works in a defense plant; Harold 31, works for the Texas Company in Louisiana; Harvey, 28, is a farmer in Cleveland County; Rufus Randolph, 25, is a member of the U.S. Army, stationed in New York; Thomas, 23, a preacher is at the present time holding a meeting in McAllister, Okla.; Douglas, 21, is in the quarter master corps of the U.S. Army, stationed in Salt Lake City; while Lyord [sic], 18 is working in a defense plant in Little Rock and will register some time this year. In addition to these children, there are three boys and one girl at home and three girls away from home, two of them married. Mr. and Mrs. Reddin celebrated their 35 [hard to read] wedding anniversary the __ of last March. They are well known citizens of the Blue Springs community. Jann
