Oct 12, 2005 Monticello - Mordre Marie Jones Adcock, 87, of Monticello, died Wednesday at Drew Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept 27 1918 at Sumpter, a daughter of the late Alvin Jones and Mellie Jones Jones. She was a retired textile mill worker and a member of the First Assembly of God at Monticello. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Adcock. Survivors include two sons, the Rev. Byron White of El Dorado and Jim Adcock of Monticello; two daughters, Janice White Hux of El Dorado and Beverly Gunn of Monroe, La.; one sister, Marguerite Lane of Panama City, Fla.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at the First Assembly of God with the Rev. Al Womack officiating.
