The one I got weighs 113 lbs. and the VA even pays the shipping. An 18-wheeler delivered it to our house yesterday and that was a tight squeeze! This region receives them from Columbus Marble Works in MS. The only thing one has to do is send proof of service. I didn't have his actual service record so I just sent his proof of service and his widow's application for pension, and it worked. I had his full name, DOB, DOD and Co. he served in engraved on the stone. There is a certain form to be fill out. Anyone who served in the US Service without a marker or a badly damaged marker can order one of these. There are also several choices one can make. I chose the flat marble. edianegardner <edianegardner@sbcglobal.net> wrote: Do you mind sharing what it would cost? -----Original Message----- From: arbradle-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:arbradle-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of bjw Sent: Saturday, May 10, 2008 1:36 PM To: ARBRADLE@rootsweb.com Subject: [ARBRADLE] grave markers ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ARBRADLE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
