I can only guess that she is part of the family the moved that moved to the area from Ouachita Parish, LA. Lucilla was born about 1804 in LA. and I saw her father had moved to Ark around 1812? I think. The father of Lucille (Married to Jack Hamilton) was James Lacouture who was married to Susan Moron. I found info on Lucilla Lacouture on ancestry.com with details on her parents. Do you have access? Your Mary is related most likely related to Lucilla. Let me know if you get any more. It's hard to find the LaCouture name in the states now. I found some in New Orleans. I think the are the true French Canadians that came down the Mississippi , like the Hamilton Family. I'll try to keep you in mind.
