    3. In spite of the gound hog's warning of more winter, people here took advantage of the nice weather last week by doing spring cleaning, planting flowers and preparing for tomato crops. Mrs. Velma Hickman returned home Wednesday from Hot Springs where she spent several days with Mrs. Erma Barudy and children. Thad Godwin of Little Rock now employed by King Motor Co. of Pine Bluff, was in Warren on business Thursday of last week and visited his mother, Mrs. M. Godwin. A hearty welcome to Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Johnson who recently moved from Dallas and settled in our community. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson are both employed by Potlatch. Mrs. Byrdie Lee is back on her job with the Carl Savage's after several days illness. Jimmie Baker of North Little Rock called on some friends Saturday while en route to Longview, where a mulligan stew was brewing in the Beasley Camp. Dewey Rogers is working for Boyce Baker in Wilmar. Mr. Baker having reached the age limit, plans to build a new home, retire and live happily ever after. Good luck, Mr. and Mrs. Baker. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Savage were in Little Rock Sunday to visit her sister, Mrs. Perry, who recently had surgery in a Little Rock hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Doggett and Melba Joye visited her sister, Mrs. M. W. Godwin Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Clayton spent the weekend in Dallas with their daughters, Mrs. Pat Tucker and Miss Barbara Clayton. Barbara is ill in a Dallas hospital. Mr. and Mrs. John Herring had dinner and supper with the Henry Bradfords' Sunday. Mr. Hickman with his trusty rifle was fortunate in killing the wolfe after the loss of only one calf. Eagle Dem.
