    3. I'm not familiar with this "Ragar"...only the Sam Ragar who married my grandfather's sister, Hester, who died in about 1935. Wish I could be more help. At Ebenezer in the section where the older Ragars are buried there is a George P. Ragar listed as s/o Joseph M. and E. Jane Ragar. In looking at the census for this family George appears as age 5 in 1870. In 1880 there is a Tony age 15 [same age George would be and he isn't listed in 1880]. Does anyone know if George and Tony are one and the same? Is Tony a nickname for George? > > I found this article in the Gazette Dated July 6, 1889: > > Warren, July 4 - The death of Mr. Tony Ragar, which occured last Monday is much regreted. Jennie HANDLY MILLER was the wife of William Lawrence MILLER, born 1870. Her date of birth was 1873. William T (father of William Lawrence) was born 1830. And to make things more complicated, on the upright head stone, it has William T as W.F. MILLER, but on the foot stone it does have it correct as W.T. MILLER. 3. I missed a day of email and want to thank everyone who answered my question about the Mary Catherine Hargis. I have another line of folks I'm working on and I think there are some "Williams" researchers on the list that might give some insight to the following: 1910 Bradley Co. AR Pennington Dist 22 ancestry page 51 [I think this is north of Warren]: Benjamin Williams age 47 born MS MS MS farmer Linnie age 33 wife TX GA GA Ozie age 13 son Lawrence H. age 2 Mabel age 5 1910 Bradley Co., AR Pennington Twp Dist 21 page 21: Benjamin Williams age 22 born AR Docia L. [Ruffin] age 15 wife Julia Ann Brown age 52 mother-in-law [I don’t know what Brown she married] And Williams age 19 brother Hazel HOLLOWAY age 7/12 boarder Melvin J. HOLLOWAY age 31 widowed boarder Arthur O. HOLLOWAY age 7 boarder Both the above families lived very near each other and close to the Angus Halligan family. The Julia Ann Brown listed was previously Julia Ann Ivey Ruffin I believe the two Benjamins were father and son. I found the WW I Draft Reg for Ben Williams Jr in Union Co., and it states he was born in Warren, Arkansas. Does anyone know if they connected with any other Williams family in the immediate area? --------------------------------- Looking for a deal? Find great prices on flights and hotels with Yahoo!
