YES!! This has to be it. A young lady got in touch with me and kept talking about this connection in Bradley Co.. The best I can figure it, Verna was a Ferrell and married ? A. E. Blythe in Bradley Co. Apparently she later married Walter Alexander Hairston. This family left Bradley Co. and moved to Saline Co. where I live. I never could figure this obit I found years ago, but it is getting more clear: Louis Webster Hairston, 24, oiler, employed by the Republic Mining Manufacturing Company at Bauxite, was found dead shortly before mid, July 23. He had been crushed by a bulldozer, used in strip mining. Officers held his death accidental. Mr. Hairston is survived by his wife; a son, Ritchey; parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Hairston of Bryant; two brothers, Dudley of US Nany and Dwain of Bryant; three sisters, Mrs. C. L. Butler of Benton, Mrs. L. T. McFalls of Goose Creek, Texas and Miss Frances Hairston of Bryant; three step-brothers, Leroy Blythe of Tuscon, AZ, Johnnie Blythe of Batesville and Doyle Blythe of Bryant; and one step-sister, Mrs. Warren Austin of Sikeston, Missouri. Funeral services were held at the Bryant Methodist Church at 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 26, by the Rev. J. F. Walker and the Rev. Richard Perry. This isn't dated, but it was in the Benton Courier and was probably in the early 1940's. No, my Johnsons lived in Drew County and decended from William Brown Johnson and Eliza Frances Rowell, both born in Chester County, S.C. I have these Johnson well documented and got into the DAR on them. William Brown Johnson's granddaughter married a Spraggin and lived in Texas. He was born August 10, 1937 in Hilo, Ark.; a son of the late Ellis Wright and Birdie Holmes Wright. He was employed as a supervisor with Milam Construction in El Dorado, Ark, for 28 years, a member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Ingalls, Ark. and served in the Army National Guard. He was also preceded in death by a son Deryl Wright and a brother Charles "Punch" Wright. Surviving is his wife Jane Wright of Hilo, Ark., whom he married August 20, 1994. 2 sons Lynn Wright and spouse Gail and Scott Wright and spouse Amy all of Hilo, Ark. A daughter Cheryl Harrod and spouse Ron of Atlanta, Kansas. 2 step-daughters, Paula Belin, Atascocita, TX; and Kelley Hollingsworth and spouse Mark, Hermitage, Ark. 3 sisters Sue Reynolds, Jersey, Ark.; Jean Harrod, Ingalls, Ark,; and Eva Smith and spouse John of Hilo, Ark. 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 1:30pm Wednesday, Janua! ry, 3rd at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Randy Cox and Rev. Jerry Hines officiating. Paige Grider was organist, pianist was Amy Wright and soloist was Stephanie Wright. Burial with flag presentation was in Hilo Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Chris Wright, Brent Wright, Justin McClintock, Johnny Ray Smith, Larry Harrod, Donald Harrod, Randy Reynolds and Sonny Bethea.
