This was Hettie Williams wife of Freddie L. Williams. I don't know if Hettie was a nickname or Helen was just a misprint in the paper. That is one of the mystery. My grandmother was Effie but not that Effie. Actually one of the sons lives where I live. I will keep trying but I do not seem to be able to connect the two different Temple families. Kind regards- Martha T. Melissa, Whoa, what was I typing? Just wishful thinking hoping to meet up with Uncle Chester and Aunt Ella's kin. I see now you're descended from John Alex Hickman. I also see I shouldn't have sent the photos to you as the cemetery coordinator. NOW I see the big red letters saying I should send them right to Barbara Logan. Should I send that set I sent to you over again to Barbara or have you forwarded them to her already? I'm so sorry for the mix up. You can tell I'm very new at this. Just write it up as a "Mommy Moment". . . I have a toddler. I really don't get enough sleep some days. Ha! >From now on, I send you just the notes about the photos that I send from the cemetery. Hi Jan this is interesting- I have been trying to determine if there were two different Temple families in Bradley county and if so, were they related. My dad was Aubrey Temple but not this Aubrey that was mentioned in the orbit. Do you have any suggestions on how I might find some information. My early relatives was Thomas Temple and his son James Fair Temple. Then there is Stanmore Temple and I have not been able to connect him with my Temples. Thanks for all you do- Martha Randolph **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products. Ok Martha - am I remembering correctly that you are connected to Pam Temple Freeman from Warren?. As to the MANY Temples in Bradley Co. - I've only found two distinct and different Temple families. The progenitor of one was John and Sarah Judge Temple and the other line is ?Thomas Fairley Temple. I find no connection between these families, although it would not be surprising there was a connection prior to 1850. I THINK you are connected to John and Sarah Temple. We shall see. If you don't mind list your Temple male ancestors as far back as 1850. This might help trying to figure out your connection. Jann BByrd49@aol.com wrote: That is one of the mystery. I haven't been there since I was 4yrs old and I am 48 now. I am planning on coming there but not anytime soon. I want to put a new headstone on my Aunt Jeanette Fike's grave. Seems it got destroyed. My Grandmother Floy Wheeler Fike told me that the Wheeler family founded Wheeler Springs and built the original church and lived nearby close to the spring, they used for water. Elias & Hannah are my Great, Great, Great Grandparents. Christianna (I love that name) is James's older sister and James's son Burl Wheeler is the Father of my Grandmother. I am stuck,I figured out that Elias and Hannah were born in Georgia, Which is where I live, and that the years of their birth are for Elias abt 1813 and Hannah abt 1814 but I do not know where. Have you got that info? Or maybe face me in the right direction. My email is galake@peoplepc.com, email me and I'll give you my 800 number and we can compare notes. This is so ex! citing.
