I am not very far as I am stuck on my Senn line. This year I will resolve that problem. Maybe. Today when reading Jann's Bradley Co. Obts on Mr. Hickman two thoughts occured: I remembered the names of his Pallbearers even though my family moved from Johnsville to Texas in 1948, second thing, I am related to a whole bunch of folks in Bradley County. This information comes from a person who grew up near Elliott Hill. Indeed, it is located just south of Johnsville on the highway that goes to Vick. The water tower is located on Elliott Hill. The person who furnished this information said that she was told there was an old Indian Cemetery located there. This water tower/Elliott Hill is located within 1/2 mile south of Johnsville. Ann

For Jan re Hickman Following is copied from my data base. It is an excerpt from notes made of my conversation with the daughter of Romie Hickman, listed in the obituary below as R.L. of Ola: "I received a call from Donnie on the evening of August 13, 1997. She had been given my number by Judy Hickman Withers, and wanted any information available about her family. She corrected some errors, about her immediate family, that were in my database. Most notably, she said the correct name of her grandfather was William Andrew Hickman, Sr. I had been listing him as William Autry Hickman." I realize all these tid-bits are simply tantalizing to researchers, but it's just a "heads-up" to be on the look out for these wonderful old pictures. I couldn't even get a "bad" copy of this one, but I did get the names of folks who appear in the photo. Pattsville Masonic Lodge around 1900 This picture of the Pattsville Masonic Lodge, made sometime between 1900 and 1905 was provided for the Warren Lodge by Miss Mollie Turner, who gave it to John Huitt. His family has consented for the Warren Lodge to put it in their new lodge hall. James B. Ross and M. R. Ferguson of Warren have done extensive research to determine the names of the men in the group: Nelse York, W. D. Huitt, Billy Lansdale, Tobe Turner, Billy Trussell, John Huitt, Dr. Gross, Bob Powell, J__Lansdale, Henry Hines, Jim Thornton, Dr. M. T. Crow, G. B. Colvin, Tom Anderson, Jonah Givens, Bill Calloway and Tom Turner. Eagle Dem Jan 24, 1963 --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search.

There is a wonderful old photo floating around somewhere of Warren's Company I of the Arkansas National Guard that was taken at Fort Logan H. Roots in North Little Rock. I made a "halfway" decent copy from mircrofilm, but like most copies might not be useful enough for identification. Some of the names listed are: Officers: Hill Carruth and Claude Williams and Claude Hawk. __Murray, Virgil Johns, Johnny Martin, Frank Gilliam, Ted Warford, Noah Holmes, Howard Reep, Leslie Burnham, Buck Murphy, Henry Quimby, __Wiggins, Clyde Temple, Clifton Robertson, Olin S. Godwin, Watt Carmical and Otho Roddey, Claude Adams, Garland Holbrook, Joe Wilson, Bernie Hargis, Guy Ragar, __Herring, __Craig, V. V. Godwin, Sel C. Carmical, Frank Moore, Rufus Wardlaw, ___Morris. At one time the photo was owned by Mrs. C. V. Frey of New Edinburg. --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.

I am researching the above lines of John Wiley King, Whitmill Adams, and Jesse J. Wilson. John Wiley King married Ann Louisa Crowell on 29 Jan 1878 in Bradley County. Whitmill Adams married Rachel Pearce in Tennesse and they are in the 1860 Census of Bradley County. They had daughters Santia, Sophrona (m. William Ryals) and son Miles Eddie. Jesse J. Wilson was the son of Samuel and Lavnia Wilson. He married Septimea (many different spellings) Campbell on 7 Sep 1978 in Cleveland County. Is anyone else researching these families?Betty

Again, I did not know Susan's last name. You have supplied me with more information. I suppose I need to look at the York information now. John S. Elliott was a brother to my great, great grandmother, Aramintha Ann Elliott who married John Irwin, who was killed in the Civil War. Thank you for the information.
