    1. [ARBRADLE] Broughton Research
    2. Cristal Simmons
    3. Hello All, My name is Cristal Simmons and I live in Chicago. Both sides of my mother's family are from Bradley and Cleveland Counties. One of her lines, the Broughton family, is planning a huge reunion this year in Warren and New Edinburg. I am anxious to meet a lot of family since I have been tracing this family since 1980. Despite all the years I KNOW my research is incomplete! LOL My 4th great grandfather was Samuel Broughton, I descend from his daughter Delia who married Reese Jackson. Descendants of Samuel and his wife Emily live all over the states and are planning to converge in New Edinburg this summer. I would love to contact anyone tracing Samuel Broughton and his descendants. Unfortunately, I have loss track of another Broughton researcher, also named Crystal. Hopefully, Crystal, you will read this and contact me! (Pretty please, I spoke to Gerlean, and she also wants to talk to you.) Some collateral lines stemming from Samuel Broughton include: Jackson, Gilbert, Grandy, Parks, Avery, Crain, Hamilton, Tolefree, Lowery, Smith, Tidwell, and Stocker. There are many, many, many more lines. If you are researching these lines, or know someone who is a member of any of these families, please contact me. Thanks and have a great weekend! Cristal Simmons

    3. Juanita Burkhart wrote her name as Lara Bell so it is probably the same one. I don't know about the Jacksons, Laura's mother was Evelyn Erwin. James S. Poteets brother Thomas married Vera Pack, John G. married Jeanette Beslin. It didn't mention his wifes name in John A. Poteets obit but she was Hattie Eugenia Easterling and one of her brothers Jewell J. Easterling married Carrie Grace Jackson so maybe thats the Jackson connection > Hmmmmm - ha > > Laura Poteet's middle name was "Bell". Or, that is what we all called > her.
