Mike, as far as I know they were probably just friends. I haven't seen any Berry's in my research. Daddy loved visiting people and anytime we were up there we traveled all the roads, pigtrails and rabbit trails visiting just about everyone he knew in the county. It was always interesting because Daddy knew so many people. I don't know how old your father was in the '80s but Daddy would have been in his 60"s and newly retired probably. He knew several of the "oldtimers" who worked on the rails up there because of catching rides into Warren from Eagle-Lake/Crossroads at Vick. Does anyone know what the connection was between the Sharps and Berrys? "If" my memory serves me correctly, this Mr. Sharp visited my father Lawrence Berry here in Warren in the late 80's or early 90's......they were both railroad engineers and I recall my dad mentioning carrying his father, John Howard Berry, down to visit the Sharps down below Eagle-Lake Crossroads. Was there any other connection or were they just "good friends?"
