Somewhat atypical for our ARBOURs, Ours appears to have remained in one place his entire life, as he has been located in Joliette City from beginning to end. As a young man, Ours worked as a baker (1881) but later returned to his farming roots and became a farmer (1901). In St-Liguori, QC, on 15 May 1883, our 31-year old Ours married 17-year old Marie-Zephirina GRENIER. Together Ours and Zephirina had 9 children, 3 of whom died in childhood. During the 1901 Census, Ours and family lived in Breau Moulin - possibly the name of their farm - which was in St-Charles-de-Borromèe parish in Joliette City. They owned a 3-room house plus 5 outbuildings on 162 acres. How they ever fit 9 people in a 3-room house is probably beyond the comprehension of most of us today. Ours died shortly after this on 21 February 1902, just shy of his 50th! birthday. Widowed Zephirina married Narcisse DUVAL on 12 April 1909.
