He's definitely one of the Steuben County New York Arbours, probably a grandson of one of the original settlers of Steuben County, New York, Joseph Arbour, born about 1750 who lived in Northumberland Pennsylvania. I'm trying to put all of these Arbours together- A group of them left New York for Michigan, particually Cass County, while my ancestor, Luther Arbour, who may have been Benjamin Patterson's brother or first cousin, left for Washington County Ohio and became a "River Rat".
