Author: OHaraHaworth68 Surnames: ARBOUR BEAUDRY GIGUERE Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.arbour/312/mb.ashx Message Board Post: 08 May 1908 - Born in Lavigne, Ontario, Joseph-Wallace-Albert ARBOUR was the 2nd of 17 children of farmer Joseph-Oscar ARBOUR and his wife Albina BEAUDRY. As a young man, Oscar had moved with his family from Ste-Emelie, Quebec to northern Ontario. It was in the community of Lavigne, that all of Oscar and Albina's children were born and where their legacy continues through today. Albert found his own wife in Lavigne and married her there on 15 June 1943. Laurianna GIGUERE was also hearty and from strong pioneering stock. She and Albert brought 7 children into this world: Claude, Emilien, Gerard, Marthe, Jean-Marc, Denise, and Therese. In about 1946, the young family moved from Lavigne to Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, where Albert died on 17 June 1996, at the age of 88. He was buried in the Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Cemetery in Lavigne. Laurianna then moved back to Lavigne, where she still lived in February 2003. Albert and Laurianna were both able to welcome all 15 of th! eir grandchildren, but Albert passed away before meeting their 8 great-grandchildren.
