    3. Hello! My computer crashed and I've lost the info on my FTM and PAF files. Still working on getting it back. I have the new Vista and not too fond of it. I have been researching the above surnames off and on for many many years. I started researching genealogy in 1978, but still finding brick walls. Sure hope someone can help me with them. At one point I was given some information that Effie Donaldson Hart Friend died in Eldorado, Union County, Arkansas and buried in Boone County somewhere in 1966. Can someone check on her and send me the info of cemetery and birth and death date, please? Effie was born in the 1890's era. Also the same info on her husband whom I believe to be Jim Pate FRIEND. Maybe he is in the same cemetery she was buried in. On the Smith and Roland; I found their marriage record AS: Spouse 1: Roland, Sary Ann Spouse 2: Smith, Miles Marriage Date: 23 Feb 1845 Marriage Location: Miller County, Missouri I couldn't find an 1850 census with them in it. They are in the 1860 census; Page 47; 18 July 1860 Post Office: Little Nianqua, MO, Russell Twp., Camden County Line 24 - 33 / Dwelling, House number 319 / Families number 315 Miles SMITH 32 M W Farmer $216 KY Sarah " 30 F " MO {person over 20 years of age who cannot read & write} Lidia M 12 F " " {attended school within the year} William H 10 M " " { " " " " " } Polly A 8 F " " { " " " " " } Daniel M 6 M " " Frances M* 5 F " " * Listed as Franklin SMITH, male in 1870. John W 3 M " " Sally C 2 F " " Robert R 1/12 M " " Apparently Miles SMITH, Robert R SMITH, and a son Henry SMITH (born after 1860 census) died before the 1870 census. Not sure on Lidia M SMITH. William H SMITH and Daniel M SMITH must have gone exploring, who knows? They were in later censuses. Sarah ROLAND Smith must have remarried because in the 1870 censuses is in the house of Frank Owens in Douglas County as follows: 1870 Census: Post Office; Arno, MO, Jackson Twp., Douglas County Line 27 -34 / Dwelling House number 20 / Families number 20 OWENS, Frank 40 M W Teamster $145 TN {male citizen of 21 and upwards} ,Sarah A. 45 F W Keep House not Known, Native {cannot read or write} SMITH, Franklin* 14 M W MO { " " " " } *In the 1860 census, Franklin was listed as Frances M and listed as Female. , John 13 M W MO { " " " " } , Sally C. 12 F W MO { " " " " } NEAL, Polly A. 18 F W MO { " " " " } , Nancy J 2 F W MO ROLLAN, Lucinda 19 F W MO {possibly a sister, niece or other relative of Sarah ROLAND Smith Owens} The 1880 census is a puzzling one. The Mary A. Ellison I am presuming is the Polly Ann SMITH Neal in the 1870 Douglas County, MO census. It is thought that the Nathaniel, Thomas, and Sarah is also Mary A/Polly A children. I have my doubts on the 2 boys. I don't know where Nancy Jane NEAL is in this census. I don't know where Frank OWENS and Sarah went to. There is a Jane Griffey that is listed with the Daniel SMITH household and the right age, who would be Nancy Jane NEAL. Daniel SMITH would be Nancy Jane NEAL's uncle, but I don't know where the GRIFFEY surname comes from.
