My Grandmother was a half sister to James Wesley Bates and i have quite a bit of info on him and Edna Charles Marion Bates may have been in the 27th Ark Cav He Was b Ca 1846 in Ky He Married #1 Mahala Garrit Potts He died in Civil war bt  1861-63 .
