    1. [ARBOONE] Rock Fence Genealogy
    2. Rock Fence Geneology is a gathering of information which Tonya Williams and I, Reta Parton have compiled from many contributors in the Boone and Marion County area. Obituary listings are there. If you find a name in our listing and want a copy of the actual obituary from the newspaper, many of our contributors kept scrapbooks of obits from the Harrison, Yellville and many other papers. Some were obits where people had moved out of state and their friends and families had mailed them to the contributor - so it is always good to check. If you find a name on the list, email [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) and I will send you a jpg. Please be patient as I am slow - but you will eventually get them. The instructions are on the pages. >From the front page - go to collections - Most obituaries are in these collections. Also go to cemeteries - we have visited a lot of cemeteries in Boone and Washington County and have many pictures of tombstones (I use to be the Random Acts of Kindness volunteer in Washington County until time demanded I not do that any longer) Just a way to say Thank you to everyone who has shared with us. * Alma Gaines Obituary Collection - (Alma was a teacher in Lead Hill area) * Alton Prison Journal Index - (Many of the men in Boone County is listed in this - you can obtain the book through interlibrary loan - it has been reprinted) * Faye Hodges Photo Collection - (Faye took photos of the area from the time he was 5, I believe he was over 80 when we took these photos) * Freierson Minutes - Tennessee Index (A work I felt needed indexing as many of the people in Boone and Marion County came from the Beech Grove - Shelbyville, Tennessee area) * James DeShields Collection - (James DeShields was the oldest person at our last DeShields reunion who still carried the DeShields name - this is his story in pictures) * Jane Wilkerson Collection - A fellow researcher of Boone and Marion County who has generously shared her research. * Jim Fain Obituary Collection - Jim Fain was the Superintendent for Lead Hill Schools for many years - this is his scrapbook of obituaries. * Misc. Newspapers * Pfost - Green Slaughter Index - Story of the Green family Slaughter on the East Coast - An actual book on the trial and murder. Always glad to help - We haven't posted up to this in a while - we need to get on it again. Thanks Mysty for all your hard work and reminding people our information is out there. By the way - our sight is a free site - we charge nothing and all we ask is patience as we fill your requests.
