James Stone b. ca 1836, GA moved with his family, Harriet, James Jr, son, Henry J, son Effie, daughter and Minnie, daughter to Boone Co, a little before 1870. His brother Francis and father, Wiley, also came up from Alabama with him. All were csa vets. Another brother, William P Stone, settled along the Buffalo River in Searcy Co, near St Joe. An older family researcher, now passed away, had some sort of reason to believe that James committed suicide, and it is a fact that by 1890 Harriet was alone with her kids and moved to Independence Co.
