    3. I do not have a lot of information but here goes. Please don't take dates as correct. I have not done any research on these people. This is an oral history.. Orville Price married Genevive (Spelling may be wrong) McCormick. We called her Genny or Jimmy. She was the daughter of Bessie Knotts McCormick of Boone Co.. Bessie Knotts was the sister of my grandmother (Clara Knotts Graves). My mother(Hazel Mildred Graves Siemiller) was Gennys first cousin. Orville and Genny lived in Union City Washington where Orville was a house mover or painter. They had no children. I called my mothers sister (Aunt Sue Graves Gerlack b1925). She said " Orville & Genny Price, that I remembered, lived north of the Old Hensen place between Batavia and Alpena near Ridgeway at a place named after Orville's father. It was called Jim Town and Jim had an old store there that had anything you could ever want. It was better than any Walmart. If you couldn't find what you wanted you just had to ask and Mr. Jim knew right where it was." ( Susie May lived in Ark until about 10 to 12 years old.) Orville and Genny went to Boone Co. Arkansas (yearly?) seemed like more often. We lived in Meridian Idaho. Orville and Genny would stop and spend a few nights going both ways. They were around my Mothers ( b 1912) age. They may have been older or younger, because I thought all adults were old. As a child I remember Orville as being a great cut up.He was always jolly and teasing. Was always telling us kids he was going to steal us for his own. He usually brought dogs (hunting maybe) with them.He would hold the dogs and let us little kids pet them. When they returned home they always brought a bushel of persimmons and some thing that sounded like Chinkapin nut. Don't know what they were. It looked like a small filbert. We looked forward to Genny and Orvilles visit, But did not like them to leave, because they brought Grannie Graves some sassafras roots and some other root. All the grand kids got to drink a shot glass of each and take a spoon full of something on sugar. I think it was turpentine, I still shudder to think about that day twice a year. I think it was to clean our blood or something. We thought they were trying to poison us. But we all survived. Aunt Sue is moving into an assisted living place , but said she would send me pictures of Orville and Genny. If you want (and I get them) I will send them to you. Sometime it is hard to recall so long ago. This must have been the late 40's. I called my sister and spent a pleasant evening talking about our childhood. We both felt we were blessed to have known Orville and Genny. Thanks Frankie

My info is sketchy in places but here goes... Charles Green b? died 1927 buried in Martin Cem Nowata okla Charles married Nancy Elizabeth Huffman born 1848 died 1916 also buried in Martin Cem. I have their marriage cert married Sept 26, 1867 in Boone County IA. Nancys father signed it O. Huffman (no idea what the O. stands for) NOW this next info I got out of an old family bible so... Charles and Nancy had 6 children this is the order they were in the bible. Zelpha m andrew Allen (no dates) William m.Nora Ethel Clifton (both buried at Martin Cem.),Albert b. 1874 d.1925 (was mentally ill and never married buried at Martin Cem.), May married Barney Dilley(buried at Coffeyville Ks.)Alma Alice(have death cert on her she was born Apr. 5,1882 died june 6, 1970 in tacoma washington buried in Coffeyville Ks) Alma also married an Allen there is some speculation as to whom but the name William comes up now and again in old relations memory. It seems the family thought that andrew and william were brothers who married sisters, can you validate that? The last child was Lula Belle who married William Leonard Parrett. She is also buried at Martin Cem. and lived most of her life near the area. The second child William and Nora Ethel were my gr grandparents. I could go on to give you the names of their children I also have the names of Almas children if you would like them. Please write back and let us compare our info!! Stefanie
