    1. [ARBOONE] Re: Maynard and Tucker
    2. Hi Kathy, I rec'd a message today from Ralf Tucker in response to my inquiry about the Maynard/Tucker family. My daughter is the daughter of Patrick Maynard, his mother was Stella Maynard. Do you have any infor about that side of the Maynard Family? As I mentioned in my posted message, I have a newspaper clipping about Debbie Tucker, I would be happy to send it to you, if you want. Hope to hear from you soon. Shirley

    1. [ARBOONE] Re: Byrd
    2. I do not believe that I have heard from you before. Did some of George (Jr)'s desc. end up in ARK? I would really like to know about that, or wherever they settled. My Great grandfather Vanzant was Dallas, named for his Mother Margaret Byrd's family. Here are a couple of places you can get the Toe River books. johnson@nutschell.main.nc.us and lloyd@acpub.dike.edu (I believe that is duke instead of dike, try the other if duke doesn't work.) You may email me directly at jackied4@preferred.com . Talk later, Jackie DeFoor

    3. That message was posted on the message board and has been deleted. It appeared on the list because I have not turned off "gatewaying". I am going to monitor closely and if necessary close the gateway - maybe temporarily - so I can more quickly catch this sort of thing before it gets to the list members. It looks like someone is trying to set up something and attract folks to see it before it even exists, Not nice. 1. [ARBOONE] Re: John Wesley Hurd
    2. Merry Christmas. I have been researching John Wesley Hurd for three years. I have 13 of his 20 children, 4 of his five wives, dates, civil war records, and decendents of many of the children. Contact me. I am interested in learning the true name of John Wesley's fourth wife, the mother of Mary Jane, Martha , and John Wesley. The 1860 census says "Nancy", research someone else gave had Mary M. Wilson, and Eligah Hurd ( you mentioned) bible records lists an illegible "Siond" or "Scoud" or something. I would be happy to send you copies of what I have. One of John Wesley (the first's) decendents sent me pictures of John Wesley, Elijah, and some others. Would love to share. I am taking a trip to Boone county, and Knox county Indiana, (where John Wesley was raised, after having been born in Kentucky) around the first week in Sept. I contacted the current land owner of the land John Wesley ( the first one) owned in Leadhill area, and he says there are some graves on the property! but are pretty much illegible. I'm hoping the seven unknown children are buried there. We'll see. Beverly Anne Hurd Armstrong.
