Hi Carolyn, I think we may be realted. Samuel Carpenter is my gg grandfather. His son William (married to Martha Jane Callahan) is my g grandfather and his son Claude is my grandfather. Few! Apparently this is some sort of scam. At least that's what several have said about it. When I went there, I found zilch - nothing - nada. Just a bunch of promises. Every link to every page I tried to go to came back with that "This page cannot be found" message. Why this is being touted as a "great Boone Co" genealogy site, I can't imagine. I'll bet there haven't been anywhere near a billion people living in Boone Co AR since its inception in 1869, let alone a billion names. Do they change the county name for each county they send to? Maynard born about 1846 TN, died 16 Sept 1924, married to Charity Wood 21 May 1868, and they had 9 children; 3. Martha J. Maynard; 4. Juda A. Maynard; 5. Elizabeth Maynard born ca 1836; 6. Nicholas H. Maynard born ca. 1839; 7. Joel L. Maynard born ca. 1842; 8. Reuben Maynard born ca. 1844 AR. In Land Records in Boone County, AR Reuben J. Maynard owned three tracts of land in 1891. The 1870 US Census of Boone County, AR, PO Mt. Pleasant, Prairie Township, House #175-173 shows Reuben Maynard 63 born TN farmer; Mary A. Maynard 66 born TN keeping house; Hannah Maynard 25 born AR; Martha Maynard 8, born AR; Reuben J. Maynard 6 born AR. No children by Yourd. A deposition at the same time by William B. Wood of Siloam Springs, Benton County, AR, age 70, a cousin to Hannah Wood Yourd stated that he lived close to her for some years, and that Joseph Maynard, a Confederate soldier, was found shot dead in 1863 or 1864. He stated that Hannah separated from Brackett E. Stewart. William B. Wood knew Hugh Yourd 15-20 years before he married Hannah. A deposition in March 1915 by Miss Hannah Wood, Harrison, Boone County, AR states that she was a cousin to Hannah Woods Yourd and knew her all of her life, Hannah Yourd being somewhat older than herself, that Hannah Wood Maynard Stewart Yourd married Joel Maynard between Harrison and Yellville, AR and Maynard was killed in Marion County during the Civil War about 10 miles from Yellville toward Harrison and was home on furlough, killed by Federals. Hannah Woods Yourd married 2nd Brackett Steward where "we all went during the Civil War troubles" and they lived together about a year and had one child and he went a way and we heard later he was dead. She then returned to her old neighborhood and lived with Reuben Maynard, father of her first husband, till he died, and she married Hugh Yourd. [The one child of Hannah Wood[s] and Barckett Evans Stewart was Joel Evans Stewart born 22 June 1866 Dallas County, MO and died at Sand Springs, OK husband of Nancy Jane Thomas.
