    3. Hi Wilma, I was able to find the following in the Appeal-Democrat a newspaper for Marysville-Yuba City, Cal. date Mon. May 10, 1954 Clyde O Jones, 44, farm laborer, died Saturday in a Marysville hospital after a lingering illness. He was a native of Arkansas and had been a resident of this community since 1943. He lived in Colusa for 16 years prior to coming to Yuba Co. His home was 825 Ashway Ave, Linda, CA. Survivors include his wife, Effie, two sisters, Mrs Virginia Kulps of San Anselmo and Mrs Grace Sanford of Oklahoma, and a brother Clarence Jones of Fresno. Funeral Services pending at Hutchison's Colonial Chapel in Marysville. end I made a copy to be able to correctly type it out and you may have the copy if you would send a self addressed, stamped return envelope to me at P O Box 418226 Sacramento, CA 95841-8226 Do you have anything found yet on Clarence (Fresno) or Effie or Virginia? ron At 06:39 AM 5/1/02 -0500, you wrote: >Oh my gosh, yes I know it's him & I would so appreciate what ever you >can find for me. >Thank you SOOOOOOOOO much. >Wilma Taylor >Fayetteville, Ar. > >

    3. I noticed that Dolores had a Noah Perry who just might be findable in California. I asked her if she would like me to check and got her ok. Today I found his death listed on the on- line part of the CA death index (1940-1997). I "sent" that page to her via the "send page" option of my Netscape Browser. When she confirms that this is her quarry, I can go to the archive of newspaper film we have here in Sacramento and see if an obit of her quarry can be found. I made a general offer of help to this list before and met some very nice folks as a result, including a great lady who was once a Moonmaid, long before NASA. (there's a clue there) So, it being so much fun, I will again extend an offer to help with attempting to find relatives (we all have our black sheep) who left AR and moved to CA and are not traced yet. ron in CA At 09:34 PM 5/1/02 -0500, you wrote: >William Henry Perry was born 1853 in Illinois. >Parents unknown. >he married Lucy Birch[Burch?]ca 1877. in 1880 they liced in Red cloud >Nebraska. >their children [born bt 1878 -1891- were Noah >Dora >William >John >Mose. born 1891 >he died 3 weeks before Mose was born [ died in 1891 in red cloud.Ne] when >he died lLucy took the 4 kids to Clyde Kansas [cloud co] and Moses was >born There. from there she moved to okla but moved to Boone co ark in >1902. >She came back to Okla and lived out her life at Keokuk Okla. >Noah moved to Pamona Calif in 1929 and died there >Mose married Wadie Golding in Boone co Ark and moved to Okla in 1924 >William married Lillie Mae Raines in 1903 in Boone Co and Moved to Okla >in 1919. >John Married Pearl Coker and moved to Okla Dora married Claude Brown >and moved to Lawton Okla. would like to hear from any desc. > > > >Dolores Raines/Sutton > > >==== ARBOONE Mailing List ==== >PLEASE BE SURE YOUR RETURN ADDRESS IS CORRECT!!! 2. Mysty McPherson
    3. Reta, not real sure whether this is one of your listed newspapers or not, but, if you'll go to your Internet browser and ask for Harrison Daily Times, it's there. This paper is on microfilm. These are at the office on the square in Harrison. However, last time I heard, there's no film reader there so you have to take the film over to the library and use theirs. You might check out the Arkansas History Commission site to see if they have any microfilm of these newspapers. 1. [ARBOONE] Thoughts on our Female Ancestors
    2. ONLY THE MEN HAD BABIES My ancestor William had children All named, & with birth dates & places. But his wife is not even mentioned; Of her there are not even traces.  Surely she must have existed, Was born, was a child, & had dreams. Grew up & learned how to keep house, Was a person---but nameless, it seems.  She had parents, & someplace, a home. Her brothers are listed no doubt. But she was only a girl So not really worth telling about.  She was half my ancestor's heritage; Without her he wouldn't have life. His genes are half hers, but I find She was only his father's wife.  Once a girl was first "dau", then was "wife." She belonged to her father, till married, And then she belonged to her husband, And beside him, unnamed, she was buried.  How awful to think MY descendants Might search for a name for me, Be unable to find my identity, And wonder just who I might be.                                Dr. Dorothy Branson ( Thanks to Orange County California Genealogical Society Quarterly) please visit my website at www.burningskyenterprises.com family album - http://www.geocities.com/ginaburningsky4/burningskyent_genealogy.html
