    1. [ARBOONE] Crooked Creek Church Minutes
    2. Hi lists, I am sending this to all 3 lists (Boone/Marion/Carroll) as this is a church which was in the Crooked Creek/Sugar Loaf area which was affected so much by the boundary changes. Crooked Creek Church originated in 1834 and was started from a church which has no records (that we know of) called the Sundry Baptist. This is a transcription of the actual Minutes of the church from 1834 to 1847. The Church is still in existence today and known as Union Baptist but these are all the pages we plan to transcribe at this time. There is 47 pages and we have indexed and separated pages so you can print only what you want. I have checked the Carroll County Tax Lists and many of these people are in Carroll County. I know my family was in Marion and then Boone. So I am sure this affects these counties too. The Church Records/Crooked Creek Page loads slow as we have divided the pages. I think it is worth the wait. Anyway, it is on our FREE website and hope this helps you verify where your family was at a certain time. Also be sure and check out the Boone County Burial Association area as many Boone/Carroll/Marion County people are in this list. Those looking for Abraham Wood, he held Crooked Creek Church meetings in his home. I am working on the Carroll County Burial Association and this includes memberships from many funeral homes as it was owned by the Nelson family. It will go up soon I hope. Keep checking. It will always be free. Reta

    1. [ARBOONE] Boone County Burial Assoc
    2. I just completed the final list of the burial association cards I have in my possession. This includes individuals who died prior to October 1956. Reminder, this is not a complete list of those persons who died in Boone County, but those who had a burial policy (which amounted to $200 I believe) with the Boone County Burial Association and filed a claim. They may have passed and either not had a policy or the family not known they had a policy and the claim was never made. There is 33 pages. If anyone has the first 12 cards which came out from the association, from about January 1935; email me, I will be glad to add them to the list. At this time it goes from 1938 - 1956. There are many Yellville and people who moved from Boone County listed. I am working on Carroll County now and will have them up soon. You can view them on the following address: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jmwtlw/index.htm Happy Hunting: Reta DeShields Parton 1808 W Huntsville Springdale, Ar 72762 1-479-751-6947 rpsodapop@aol.com daughter of D W DeShields & Cora Irene Hamilton DeShields granddaughter of Dennie DeShields and Ruby Lee Austin DeShields gggranddaughter of John Wesley DeShields and Frankey Green DeShields ggggrandaughter of Handy DeShields and Nancy Womack DeShields

    1. [ARBOONE] Rock Fence Genealogy
    2. Hi Boone and Marion County researchers. I am excited to announce that the first phase of our web page is now up and ready for everyone to visit. At this time, we do not have any family trees out there. However, we have centered on documents. I and 2 other genealogists have been gathering since the 1970s and my daughter and I have decided to make the effort to make it available to researchers. No fees, it is free - as genealogy ought to be. Our main lines are: DeShields, Parton, Womack, Green, Austin, Brittian, Bly, with twenty or 30 more names added in. However, you will find things like: Alton Prison Journal by Capt Frost Index; Boone County Burial Association (gives members who died within a 90 day period 1938-1948), and much more. Come visit the sight and if you want to add something, let us know. Sign our guest book, we would like to know what you think. <A HREF="http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jmwtlw/index.htm">Rock Fence Genealogy - Main</A> or http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jmwtlw/index.htm Tonya Parton Williams & Reta DeShields Parton 1808 W Huntsville Springdale, Ar 72762 479-751-6947 rpsodapop@aol.com gggranddaughter of Handy DeShields and Nancy Womack DeShields ggrandaughter of John Wesley DeShields and Frankey Greene DeShields grandaughter of Dennie DeShields and Ruby Lee Austin DeShields daughter of D.
