    1. [ARBOONE] Rock Fence Genealogy
    2. Rock Fence Geneology is a gathering of information which Tonya Williams and I, Reta Parton have compiled from many contributors in the Boone and Marion County area. Obituary listings are there. If you find a name in our listing and want a copy of the actual obituary from the newspaper, many of our contributors kept scrapbooks of obits from the Harrison, Yellville and many other papers. Some were obits where people had moved out of state and their friends and families had mailed them to the contributor - so it is always good to check. If you find a name on the list, email [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) and I will send you a jpg. Please be patient as I am slow - but you will eventually get them. The instructions are on the pages. >From the front page - go to collections - Most obituaries are in these collections. Also go to cemeteries - we have visited a lot of cemeteries in Boone and Washington County and have many pictures of tombstones (I use to be the Random Acts of Kindness volunteer in Washington County until time demanded I not do that any longer) Just a way to say Thank you to everyone who has shared with us. * Alma Gaines Obituary Collection - (Alma was a teacher in Lead Hill area) * Alton Prison Journal Index - (Many of the men in Boone County is listed in this - you can obtain the book through interlibrary loan - it has been reprinted) * Faye Hodges Photo Collection - (Faye took photos of the area from the time he was 5, I believe he was over 80 when we took these photos) * Freierson Minutes - Tennessee Index (A work I felt needed indexing as many of the people in Boone and Marion County came from the Beech Grove - Shelbyville, Tennessee area) * James DeShields Collection - (James DeShields was the oldest person at our last DeShields reunion who still carried the DeShields name - this is his story in pictures) * Jane Wilkerson Collection - A fellow researcher of Boone and Marion County who has generously shared her research. * Jim Fain Obituary Collection - Jim Fain was the Superintendent for Lead Hill Schools for many years - this is his scrapbook of obituaries. * Misc. Newspapers * Pfost - Green Slaughter Index - Story of the Green family Slaughter on the East Coast - An actual book on the trial and murder. Always glad to help - We haven't posted up to this in a while - we need to get on it again. Thanks Mysty for all your hard work and reminding people our information is out there. By the way - our sight is a free site - we charge nothing and all we ask is patience as we fill your requests. 3. I looked at the 1910 and 1900 census records for J. A. Edwards in Boone Co AR and this what I found: 1) N. A. (Nan) was Nancy Adaline--the second wife of John A. Edwards. The 1910 census asks for the number of times people had been married and for John it was twice and for Nancy it was once and they had been married 40 years. Nancy, at the time of the 1910 census, was listed as having had two children with one living. In 1900 the figures were two children born and two living. In 1900 she was listed as Adaline while in 1910 her name was listed as Nancy A. 2) I have no idea what "RF" means. Good luck with your researching. >http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.boone/2529/mb.ashx > >Message Board Post: > >I found these on the Boone GenWeb site's online cemeteries for >Valley Springs Cemetery. 1. Re: [ARBOONE] Elizabeth CARLOCK FANCHER (1800 - 1891) of TN and AR
    2. I am trying to find information on Mary "polly" Carlock; she married John Stinnett in Schyler County Illinois Nov 1, 1833; she had previously married William Gish and had 1 son Franklin. She was born 1812 in Tennessee; died after 1870 probably in Arkansas. I lose track of both her and husband John after 1870. I went through your tree but couldn't make the connection. Any help would be great. See the GERLACH report on my home page. Within that report I have Elizabeth CARLOCK FANCHER's lineage as follows: Hans Peter GERLOCH/GERLACH David GERLACH/CARLOCK Hanchrist CARLOCK Isaac CARLOCK Elizabeth CARLOCK Elizabeth is listed on pages 512 and 513 of the book "History of the Carlock Family," by Marion Pomeroy CARLOCK, 1929. According to my records, Elizabeth moved with her husband James FANCHER and their children from Overton Co., TN, to Carroll Co., AR, in 1838.
