I am also interested in communicating with anyone connected to surnames of members of my family from Boone (and Marion) County Arkansas. My direct descendents arrived in Sugarloaf in the mid 1860 before Boone County was formed. Seeing Sugarloaf listed in Marion County then Boone County Census confused me until I read some on the history of the county. My direct descendents are from the families of Beard Johnson Moore My great great grandparents were originally buried in the Leadhill Cemetery but later relocated to the New Milum Cemetery because of the lake. Their farm is also covered by the lake. My great great great grandparents are buried (we believe) on their family farm. Surnames connected to my family also include Farmer Gaines Dunlap (connected to the Mountain Meadows Massacre) Casey Actkison Thomas Beard
My kin branch off my Estes' who came to Marion Co., first then to Boone. First came to Ark. in the 1860's. Connecting family branches are: Parker Thompson Wood Hutchinson Woods Moore Cantrell Stoddard Jackson Hart Elkins Barnhill Dillard Brown Cowdry Albright Speet Pillow Elam Terry White Stalkup McLane
I am very interested in your Brown line. Are they related at all to Lawson or Dogherty/Dougherty? I do have Cowdrey in my line. Patricia, my Poole, brother of my ggrandmother, Charlie Roe Poole was from Greenville Co, SC. In fact I have lots of Pooles still there. My Poole's name came from Pettypoole/Pettipoole/Pool/P'Poole and many other variations. I have mountains of Poole info. If he's related it may have been that he was born in Travelers Rest, Greenville Co. SC Judy Curtis Jackson
Boone County Ancestry, predominately in the Harrison area: York, Roork/Roark, Watkins, Moulder/Molder, Fulker, Scoggins, Mainard and Luster.
Hi! Looks like a roll call is going on!! My surnames in Boone Co, AR are Cantrell, Fisher, and Center. The Cantrell's settled in the Sugar Loaf/Lead Hill area. The Center's settled in the Alpena area close to the Carroll County line. Both the Cantrell's and the Center's are tied into the Fisher family of Greenville/Spartanburg Cos, SC and Transylvania Co, NC. Patricia Cantrell Columbus, GA

Anyone on this list related to the Wiley Tomlinson family. They were from North Carolina, and came first to Cotton Plant in Woodruff County; Ar., then from there to Boone County. Wiley Tomlinson was a brother to my Gr-gr-granddad, Warren Tomlinson. Betty Guthrie McCollum
