    3. Yes, it was. Mom said that Vera Slaughter lived there and her father donated the land for the Mt. Vernon Missonary Baptist Church out on Haberton Rd. Mom couldn't remember Vera's fathers name. Vera is dead now. She was an old maid, I believe, and died in a nursing home. She had a nephew who survived her but I don't know his name. SSN says Vera T.
