Hi, I am still looking for the grave of Purity (Davidson) Rogers. Could you tell me if there is a grave for Purity Davidson Rogers, there in Benton County, AR. She born 1800 in North Carolina and married before 1829 at probably Readyville, Rutherford Co. TN to Dean Rogers who was born in New Hampshire or NY in 1786 according to family census information. Since Dean Rogers was about 14 years older than his wife, Purity (Davidson) Rogers was, I suspect that he died prior to her death. I do not have any death dates for either Dean or Purity Rogers. Their children located close to or around the Siloam Springs area. The children were born in Rutherford Co., TN. It is not clear to me if Dean and Purity both later moved to Missouri around Stone, Barry and Lawrence Co., MO or just their children. Alot of their descendants located in MO, AR , TX and OK. We have been told that there is a grave for Purity (Davidson) Rogers around Siloam Springs in a cemetery. We are not sure but think the cemetery is on the East side of Siloam Springs. Are there any cemeteries around Hico twp? As you can probably tell, we have done a lot of ground work to get to Siloam Springs but we really do not know for sure if and where there is a grave for Purity Davidson Rogers. Any help that might be given would be greatly appreciated. Purity (Davidson) Rogers and Dean Rogers had a son, John Rogers, who lived on one of the old Rogers home places which was on Barron Fork, Cherokee Co., OK. He was born September 06, 1833, at Readyville, Rutherford Co., TN. He died in or around what is now Leach, Delaware Co., OK on 23 July 1916. He and his third wife Sally Ann Garrett, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation, married in MO in 1880. John and Sally Ann (Garrett) Rogers had a daughter named Mary Ann (Molly) Rogers, was born September 10, 1857, near Springfield, Greene Co., MO. Missouri became the 24th state on 10 August 1821. The state of Missouri is much smaller than the original Missouri Territory. Mary Ann (Molly) Rogers married Wm. Samuel Martin on 15 March 1891. The 1910 Census lists Wm. Samuel Martin as living in Benton Co., Hico Twp (Siloam Springs, AR) In later life, John Rogers lived in a hack and went back and forth from Leach, Delaware Co., OK to Siloam Springs, Benton Co., AR to Mary Ann (Molly) Rogers Martin's house. The daughter of Mary Ann [Molly] (Rogers) and Wm. Samuel Martin, who was Susie Martin, was born 1894 and married WarrenYounger. Martin Younger, of Siloam Springs, descends from this family as do I. I look forward to anyone that might be able to help me. Ruth Kinney Townsley 3 great granddaughter of Dean and Purity (Davidson) Rogers
