Frances: I have the Harris genealogy section of a book written by Clarencence A. (Avery) Harris, titled "The Empire Builders Book One and A Genealogy of The Harris Family"; published in 1966 by Adams Press of Chicago. In it, it says we ( Harris) have family in all 50 states The Harris name originated from the name "Harry" and was also written as "Hanrey"and is very common in France and Germany.
