I was always under the impression that my family were confederate sympathizers. I do know that he was a school teacher before moving to Washington County, AR. in the late 1890's. He moved to Cave Springs before 1900. He had six sons and one daughter. One son served in the Spanish-American War. I can not find any records on him except for a pension application which is listed under the civil war information on Ancestry.com. Are there other places to look for the information on this War?
