I know Gracie was the daughter of James and ELlen Owens...Lige was a millworker on the White River, and he and Gracie had 9 children: James Jackson Lee (my ggggrandpa) b. 18 Feb 1843, he married Susan ELlen Miller, (daughter of Simpson G. and Margarette Miller) they ended up in Indian Territory; Melvina Lee b. 18 Apr 1839, married William Miller, and also moved to Indian Territory; John Lee b. 19 Mar 1841; Mary Ellen Lee b. 23 Oct 1845; Francis Marion Lee b. 20 Dec 1847, married Celia Luvinia (Missie) Downum; Sarah A. Lee b. 23 Dec 1849; Margaret Ann Lee b. 20 Oct 1851, married Emory Soule Shook ( Gracie was living with them when she passed away); Elijah Lee, JR. b. 1853, married Julia Ann (Annie) Downum; Learnur Rhoda Lee b. 15 Mar 1855, Benton Co., AR. I am really trying to get s! ome information on ELijah's father, Moses, who I know passed away in Wash/Benton Co. area in 1846...He was a founding member of the Primitive Baptist Church in SHiloh, but cant find out where he came from in Indiana, exactly. I know that he and his son Elijah obtained land in the Wash/Bent area in/around 1838, soon after the county was established...if anyone can help me in that arena, I would be really happy....have a great day :) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
