This excellent series of books is called "Benton County Schools That Were" by Billie Jines. There are five volumes, privately published out of Pea Ridge, beginning, I believe, in 1989. I know the Springdale Public Library has these; I'm sure other libraries should as well. The Benton County Historical Society in Bentonville has copies of Billie's books. Billie Jines is a treasure that we all miss. Glenn Jones, Director Lowell Historical Museum
Glenn, do you know my cousin Willie Bohannon? I believe she was with the Madison County group. She wrote a lot for the "Musings" she calls it.
