I have several members of my family who lived in the Robinson community in the early 1900's to mid-1900's. In fact, some of my earliest and fondest memories are of going to Robinson, to the White Oak cemetery there, every Memorial Day for a big community get-together where people and relatives would clean up the cemetery and bring food and visit. To my 5-9 year old eyes, it seems like there was every food in the world there laid out on the tables inside the church. Everyone would bring one or more dishes and everything you could want to eat was there, from potato salad to fried chicken to every desert in the world. We lived in Gravette then, but each Memorial Day, we made that trek to Robinson and White Oak Church and cemetery, along with dozens of other families. People who lived in Robinson, especially in the early 1900's, are actually prone to being found in both Benton County and Washington County records -- more in Washington County than in Benton County. You'll find people from the Robinson community listed usually in Marrs Hill and Wheeler townships in Washington County. This is where most of my relatives are found. However, are you certain that the Jesse Gibson who died in 1915 in Benton County is the same Jesse Gibson you're looking for? There is a Jesse R. Gibson who married Louisa Russell on 20 May 1869 in Randolph County. But the Jesse Gibson who died in Benton County in 1915 is a Jesse W. Gibson. The Jesse R. Gibson who married Louisa Russell died 28 Jul 1927 in Warm Springs, Randolph, AR.
