My Grandmother is on the 1900 census for Bentonville, Ark. Bessie Smith, daughter born 1871 and Mortimer Smith listed as head of house. She married an L. L. Luke/Luck in 1903. He passed in 1906 By 1910 census she was listed as married to my Grandfather, Charles Calvin Budd and living in Springfield, Mo. in Greene County. In 1912 my father's only sister is listed as being born in Fort Smith, Ark. in Sebastian County. My Grandfather passed away in May of 1915 while living in Joplin, Mo. in Jasper County and working for the Eagle Picher Mining Co. On the bottom of his funeral record under payments is listed address and Siloam Springs, Ark. with a date of Dec. 1915 . My question is......Would there be a city directory for Siloam Springs? I would think that her only reason to return to Ark. in 1915 is to be with relatives. We have never located her sisters and do not know who they married. Mamie or Mannie Smith born 1889 may have married a B.P. Martin. Mary E. Smith born 1891...........have no clue as to who she may have married Fay Smith born in 1896.......have been told she married a Freeman. There was one brother born 1896 ....Martin Smith This has been a brick wall for so long. If anyone has any suggestions, they would deeply appreciated. Thanks, Sue in Houma, La.
